Guardian Center

Guardian Center, established in 1961, is a nonprofit rehabilitation facility offering skilled nursing and recovery programs to patients suffering from Alzheimer s disease and dementia. The medical services offered by the center include 24-hour emergency support, wound care, psychiatric evaluation, hospice and respite care, pain management, and dental and podiatric care. The rehabilitation programs offered by the center include physical, occupational, and speech therapies; diet management; and intravenous and inhalation therapies. It also offers a variety of recreational and social activities to patients, such as music events, woodworking, crafts workshop, group outings, exercise classes, religious programs and pastoral services. Guardian Center is located in Brockton, Mass., and is approved by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
